Mark graduated from Queen’s University’s Physiotherapy program in 2006 and brings over 15 years of experience in treating, assessing, and preventing orthopedic injuries. His expertise extends across various patient populations, from athletes to individuals dealing with chronic pain.

Mark has worked with Canada’s National Basketball program and at some of Toronto’s largest sports medicine centers. His experience also includes serving as a clinic director, where he has honed his skills in clinic operations and efficiency.

Amy Zheng
Register Massage Therapist
Amy Zhou Qing Zheng, Graduated from Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She has over a decade of clinical work experience treating a variety of populations. Amy’s career has allowed her the opportunity to treat young and older clients. She has worked in pain management settings, where massage therapy was the primary method for pain relief. Amy enjoys all aspects of massage therapy. She has a special interest in post stroke and lymphatic edema, amongst other conditions treated.
With deep family roots in healthcare, Amy was able to observe her mother who was a medical doctor in rural china. This forced her and her family to be creative when managing the health of the community. Those same skills have allowed Amy to adapt, and apply effective and creative therapy solutions in today’s ever changing environment.
Amy’s passion for healthcare led her to further her education at Centennial College where she graduated from the nursing program. She still works clinically as a nurse when she is not providing massage therapy.
Amy is an avid runner, she loves hiking, and exploring nature. As a local resident of Richmond Hill, you can find Amy exploring the Greenbelt on her time off.

Mahsa Afshar

Mahsa – Exercise Physiologist and Fitness Coach
Mahsa holds a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology and is certified by the International Sports Science Association (ISSA) as well as the Olympic and Paralympic Federation. With over 8 years of coaching experience, she specializes in fitness training, senior fitness, and Hatha Yoga, supported by 200 hours of Yoga Alliance-certified training.
Mahsa’s approach combines scientific expertise with practical techniques to help clients of all ages and abilities achieve their health and fitness goals. Whether guiding individuals through personalized fitness plans or teaching the principles of Hatha Yoga, Mahsa is committed to empowering her clients to lead healthier, more active lives.

Negar Kooroshfard
Resident Physiotherapist
Negar Kooroshfard is a passionate Resident Physiotherapist with a PhD in Sport Sciences and extensive experience in sports injury rehabilitation and movement optimization. She specializes in Exercise Therapy and Manual Therapy, utilizing Myofascial Release Techniques to address a wide range of musculoskeletal problems, from acute injuries to chronic pain conditions.
With a strong academic background, Negar has years of university teaching experience as an Assistant Professor in Physical Education and Sport Sciences. She integrates evidence-based practice with hands-on clinical expertise to develop personalized treatment plans that restore mobility, reduce pain, and improve overall function.
Her skill set includes dry needling, McKenzie Method, taping techniques, and pelvic floor rehabilitation.
Currently completing her Canadian physiotherapy registration, she is excited to be part of the STAX Sport therapy team, helping clients move better, feel stronger, and achieve their health and performance goals.

Ching Yi (Fifi) Yip

Ching Yi (Fifi) is a graduate of Sutherland Chan and also a Fascial Stretch Therapist. She has experience working with a variety of neurological and orthopaedic conditions including motor vehicle rehabilitation, and sports injuries. postural dysfunction, repetitive strain and TMJD.
Fifi firmly believes that her personal experience in understanding and overcoming injury-associated pain enables her to empathize with her clients’ issues and discomfort. Leveraging her extensive knowledge and prior experience. she employs a comprehensive treatment approach that encompasses Trigger point therapy, Jointmobilization, Myofascial release, cupping, and scar tissue work. Fifi has treated a diverse clientele, spanning different age groups and impairments, and she is adept at providing care to all individuals.
She is a strong advocate for her clients’ well-being, consistently striving to enhance their quality of life. Fifi takes great pride in delivering tailored treatments that cater specifically to her clients’ unique needs. She continuously enhances her expertise through ongoing learning, ensuring that she remains up to date with the latest advancements in her field.
When Fifi is not helping patients at the clinic, you can find her weightlifting, drawing, and rock climbing.
